For those of you taking advantage of our integrated toll-free numbers there are some big changes coming. The changes are OPTIONAL but I will tell you, they make a lot of sense for everyone:
1. In the contract you have signed the numbers you are now using belong to iMagicLab and you cannot "own" them or move them to another carrier. In other words, you leave iMagic and you lose the number. We are changing this policy on all numbers issued after 4/15/2011 and for a one-time fee of $50 you can take any number you have with us with you if you ever leave us. Yes, you will have to get a new number to get this new flexibility but why invest and advertise a number you could lose?
2. On April 15 we will roll out a new system for the new numbers provisioned after that date. To be honest I wasn't happy with the quality or connection we were getting on the old numbers so the new system is a complete rebuild. Like your old numbers? nothing has to change but remember we will not be doing any new features with the old numbers.
3. Failure ratio was unacceptable. As you all know our new click-to-call system is a rockstar. Inbound will now be on the same pipes if you get the new numbers, it's up to you.
Bottom line? email David Jackson (djacksonATimagiclab.com) and get in line for conversion if you want the new numbers instead of your old ones. If you want to keep your old numbers you don't have to do anything. We will keep old numbers online for 30 days after the switch to catch callers who see old postings...
